Toyota tires: The basics

Are you shopping for new car tires? It can be overwhelming, to say the least. There's a multitude of options waiting for you and trying to narrow them down to just one can seem impossible. That's where our Orlando Toyota tire experts come in - check out this quick guide to Toyota tires, why you should choose them, and how to troubleshoot so you know when you're due for a new set.

Why choose Toyota tires for your car?

When it comes down to choosing, we highly recommend getting Toyota tire service and repairs. Here's why:

You'll have the right type of tires. Our Toyota tire techs can match your car with the perfect tires for both the model and your performance and safety needs.

You'll know they're installed properly. Our trained Toyota technicians will install your tires, so you can rest easy that it's done right.

We do price matching. If you find tires somewhere else with a better price, we'll match them to ensure you stay in the Toyota family.

We have an excellent variety of tires to choose from. You'll have options including BFGoodrich, Bridgestone, Dunlop, Goodyear, Michelin, Yokohama, and more.

You could be eligible for warranties. Ask our Toyota tire care experts which warranties are available for the tires and services you're scheduling.

So how do you know when you're due for Toyota tire service or replacement? Here's what our Orlando Toyota experts have to say about it.

How to troubleshoot your car tires

When you get Toyota tire service at Toyota of Orlando, our techs will immediately put you on a tire care schedule and send you reminders when you're due to come to visit us. However, it's always a good idea to know how to troubleshoot your own tires - check out this quick guide.

  • They’re underinflated. Keep a tire pressure gauge in your glovebox – if one tire looks a little low, check the PSI to see where it’s at, and then check your owner’s manual to see where it should be.

  • There are bulges or blisters, or any other damage to the tire (like a nail or screw).

  • There's sidewall separation – where the wall of the tire is actually separating from wear and tear.

  • The tread is low. The best way to check your tire tread is to use the penny test. Stick a penny – with Abe Lincoln’s head down – into the tread of your tire. If you can see the top of his head, your tread is too low and it’s time for a new set of tires.

Be sure to stick to a Toyota tire care schedule - it'll not only ensure you have the best performance but also help ensure your safety when you're out on the road.
